Payal Randhawa serves as Executive Director of Resource Alliance India. She brings with her a deep understanding of innovative social change models having worked in India’s dynamic social entrepreneurship sector for over a decade. She has held senior level positions with leading organizations, including serving as Executive Director at the National Association of Social Enterprises, India (NASE).
Prior to NASE, Payal served as Director for the social entrepreneurship portfolio at the Khemka Foundation. She was instrumental in developing new programming at the Foundation including the Khemka Forum on Social Entrepreneurship, the Khemka Foundation Research Grant, the Khemka Foundation podcast series and the Legal handbook for social change ventures. Under her leadership the Foundation launched the India Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the India NGO of the Year Award.
Previously, she worked at Pravah, an organization that builds capacities of young people and sensitizes them to the social realities on the ground. She managed and launched the 1st award for young social entrepreneurs – the ChangeLooms Award.
She has served as an assessor for the World Bank’s Development Marketplace Awards, Social Entrepreneurship Accelerator at Duke University (SEAD) and the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award, India. A trained facilitator she has organized workshops on themes critical to the social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Payal has a Master’s degree in communications and brings with her over 15 years of experience in the documentary genre. Passionate about telling stories of human endeavour, her films have dealt with issues around social change and community development.
