Subhi Quraishi is the CEO of ZMQ, a Technology for Development Social Enterprise based out of India. He is a T4D expert by profession and a Game designer & applied mathematician by training. Subhi is a technovator and a serial social entrepreneur. He has developed multiple technology led development projects. He has established a social game initiative under ZMQ- called Qaff games. He has developed a game based learning and behavior change model called Real-World Risk Reduction in a Risk-Free Gaming Environment. This model has been successfully applied in many health based behavior change games by ZMQ.
Another initiative developed by Subhi is called Empower-She that provides information services to rural women in form of iconic language about pre-natal care, post-natal care, child immunization and family planning. It has been successfully implemented at 5 MFIs and SHGs in India. Now he is working on a bigger concept of MIRA Mobile Channel to provide specialized services to rural women for holistic development. He has established a lab called Rural Games Lab. At a larger policy level, Subhi is working on a program called Mobile for All, for achieving “Universal Right to Connectivity” as a “Right to Life”, for delivering lifeline services that is providing free basic life-line services like primary healthcare, health communication, disaster information, and emergency services to people especially unreached, under-privileged, rural and women.
Subhi is recognized globally for his T4D models and practices. He is a prominent speaker on Technology for Development and Games for Development. He has won numerous awards and accolades for his innovations and initiatives. He has won the prestigious World Business and Development Leadership Award instituted by UNDP and ICC. His articles and works are regularly published in the newspapers and magazines. Subhi is fluent in English, Russian, Hindi, Urdu and has working knowledge of Arabic and Spanish.
